Conversations with Biofuels Champions: Congressman Collin Peterson (D-Minn.)

This is the final segment in our “Conversations with Biofuels Champions” summer video series, where our CEO Emily Skor visits with Congressman Collin Peterson of Minnesota.

Congressman Peterson was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives from the Seventh Congressional District of Minnesota in 1990. His primarily rural and agricultural district reaches from the Canadian border in the north, almost to the Iowa state line in the south; along Minnesota’s border with North and South Dakota.

Peterson is Chairman of the House Committee on Agriculture, which has jurisdiction over a wide range of agriculture and rural development issues, including the Farm Bill, renewable energy, disaster assistance, nutrition, crop insurance, conservation, rural development, international trade, futures market regulation, agricultural research, and others. Peterson also serves on the Veterans’ Affairs Committee.

In case you missed it, last week, Skor spoke with Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.). Watch it here.

Please join us in extending a big THANK YOU to the ten of our Congressional Biofuels Champions who participated in this video series, and for their continued advocacy for our industry in Congress.

We look forward to speaking with each of these champions – and many more – again next week during our virtual Biofuels Summit!
