In 2019, Dustin returned to Illinois to join Marquis Energy, where he began as a Project Manager and oversaw employee training and development. In 2021, Marquis took over the company’s local, state, and federal government relations and communications, a role he has served in since. In his role, Dustin focuses on the intersection of energy policy, agriculture, and rural economic development, working to ensure federal and state policies recognize the critical role biofuels play in reducing carbon emissions, strengthening domestic energy security, and expanding markets for American agriculture.
Dustin most enjoys seeing the impact of critical government policies translate into real economic opportunity for the communities he grew up in. In his free time, Dustin enjoys hiking Detwiler Park in Peoria, Illinois with his family and dog.
