Dustin Marquis

Sr. VP of Government Relations and Communications, Marquis Energy, Inc.

Dustin Marquis serves as Senior Vice President of Government Relations and Communications at Marquis Energy, headquartered in Hennepin, Illinois. Prior to joining Marquis Energy, he began his career in higher education, teaching Introduction to College Writing and Business Writing at Northern Illinois University and Cuyahoga Community College in Cleveland, Ohio. He earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Marketing, Accounting, and English at Augustana College (Rock Island, Ill.) and a Master of Arts Degree at Northern Illinois University (DeKalb, Ill.).

In 2019, Dustin returned to Illinois to join Marquis Energy, where he began as a Project Manager and oversaw employee training and development. In 2021, Marquis took over the company’s local, state, and federal government relations and communications, a role he has served in since. In his role, Dustin focuses on the intersection of energy policy, agriculture, and rural economic development, working to ensure federal and state policies recognize the critical role biofuels play in reducing carbon emissions, strengthening domestic energy security, and expanding markets for American agriculture.

Dustin most enjoys seeing the impact of critical government policies translate into real economic opportunity for the communities he grew up in. In his free time, Dustin enjoys hiking Detwiler Park in Peoria, Illinois with his family and dog.
