WASHINGTON, D.C.—Growth Energy, the nation’s largest biofuel trade association, kicked off a new ad campaign today, inviting consumers across the Midwest to lower their emissions and their costs by picking Unleaded 88 at the fuel pump. Launched under the banner of Growth Energy’s consumer marketing initiative Get Biofuel, the campaign lets drivers know that “nature will thank you” for choosing Unleaded 88, a fuel blend made with 15% American bioethanol (also known as E15).
“Nature will thank you for making the simple decision to choose Unleaded 88 when filling up this summer,” said Growth Energy CEO Emily Skor. “Not only does this fuel option lower carbon emissions, it also saves consumers money, and best of all it can be used in 96% of cars on the road today.”
“We’re excited to launch this new campaign and hope it encourages more and more drivers to choose the more-affordable, cleaner-burning option at the fuel pump. Consumers don’t need to buy a new vehicle to reduce carbon emissions—all they have to do is select Unleaded 88 to know they’re making a difference,” Skor added.
The Get Biofuel initiative raises awareness around fuel blends like Unleaded 88, educating and engaging target audiences via social media, digital content, and search to drive users to the Get Biofuel Fuel Finder, a location tool that helps drivers navigate to stations that sell this earth-friendly fuel option.
“For drivers looking to reduce their carbon footprint and save money at the pump, Unleaded 88 is an increasingly popular option,” said Lance Klatt, Executive Director of Minnoco Fuels. “This campaign will help us deliver that message and encourage our customers to take advantage of the cost savings offered by this lower-carbon fuel. We’re proud to partner with Growth Energy as they lead this industry effort to expand the market for low-cost, low-carbon biofuels.”
The campaign launches today across six states. Participating retailers include Thorntons, Casey’s, Kum & Go, Family Express, Kwik Trip, Kwik Star, and Minnoco. Watch the latest ads here and learn more with this one-pager.
