Growth Energy’s Emily Skor, Kelly Manning, and Meredith Kesler traveled to Indianapolis last week for the 90th Future Farmers of America (FFA) Convention & Expo. This year’s convention had a record attendance of 67,006 students, teachers, and supporters! While Kelly participated in various judging and business activities Wednesday through Friday, Emily attended a CEO Roundtable and Meredith helped the National TeachAg Campaign celebrate students’ letters of intent to teach agriculture on Thursday. Watch a highlight video and read more about the convention here.
The Growth Energy team was blown away by the students’ expertise, enthusiasm, and maturity! We also especially want to thank Gunner Greene, Chief Operating Officer for Iroquois Bio-Energy Company, LLC, for providing an important voice for biofuels during the #SpeakAg Dialogue workshop that was led by Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue.
Growth Energy is also very proud of our own Kelly Manning, Vice President of Development, who was awarded an Honorary American FFA Degree. Individuals who have provided exceptional service on a national level to agriculture, agricultural education, or FFA are selected to receive these prestigious awards. Congratulations, Kelly!
