Growth Energy Response to Economic Development Revitalization Act Cloture Failure

WASHINGTON, DC – Following a failed cloture vote by the U.S. Senate on the Economic Development Revitalization Act of 2011, which included an amendment from Sens. Feinstein and Coburn that would immediately repeal tax policy in support of renewable, domestic fuels, Growth Energy, the leading voice of ethanol supporters, issued the following statement:

“The past week’s votes on ethanol were more about symbolism than substance – now is the time to roll up our sleeves and get to work on adapting common sense policy that will reduce our dependence on foreign oil, improve our environment and create jobs here in America.”
