Growth Energy Partners with PS Food MART to Offer High Level Blends of Ethanol in Michigan

WASHINGTON, DCGrowth Energy, the coalition of U.S. ethanol supporters, has partnered with PS Food Mart to install an E85 pump in Jackson, Mich. The new E85 pump is located at 918 Wisner Street and was installed with assistance from Growth Energy’s 2010 E85 and Blender Pump Program.

“Providing consumers with greater access to ethanol will help reduce our dependence on foreign oil and strengthen our energy security. Growth Energy is pleased to have been able to assist PS Food Mart in promoting higher blends of ethanol and give consumers a choice at the pump,” said Growth Energy CEO Tom Buis.

The new pump opened on September 20th and has been dispensing about 100 gallons a day.

“We wanted to be able to provide a fuel that is increasing in demand by the motoring public, as well as commit to be environmentally friendly,” said VP of Business Development for PS Food Mart, Jim Linton.

PS Food Mart has become part of Growth Energy’s 2010 E85 and Blender Pump Program, offering funds to retailers for the alternative fuel infrastructure. To date, Growth Energy has helped install a total of 94 E85 and blender pumps across the country.
