On Monday, August 31st, Growth Energy member POET Biorefinery-Hanlontown hosted U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) for a tour and discussion with plant leadership. In an interview with KIMT-TV following the tour, Ernst said she is working to expand the use of ethanol, and is “constantly encouraging the administration to uphold the spirt and the letter of the renewable fuel standard law. It is so important that we are adhering to that and of course trying to grow our industry as well.”
We’re grateful to POET for hosting the senator to tour their facility, as well as the great work Senator Ernst and her staff have done advocating on behalf of the ethanol industry.
Interested in hosting a member of Congress? Let us know. We’d be happy to help arrange a tour.
Thank you @GrowthEnergy for your support of the #ethanol industry and #FEW21! https://t.co/olo3xyfNUw
