DuPont Looking for ‘Sweet Spot’ of Sustainability, Economic Impact, and Consumer Value

At our Executive Leadership Conference earlier this year, Growth Energy members had the opportunity to hear from DuPont Vice President and Global Business Director Simon Herriott about the incredible work that DuPont is doing to find the “sweet spot” of sustainability, positive economic impact, and consumer value. We were thrilled to continue this important conversation and share it more widely through in the May issue of our American Ethanol Magazine, and so that others can better understand how DuPont is leading innovation in biofuels:

“At DuPont, we’re passionately involved in the biofuels industry,” Herriott stressed. “One of the key messages in the presentation I gave at Growth Energy’s Executive Leadership Conference was the fact that we have choices to make that should fulfill a strong future of growth for the industry… If we were to hit the IEA (International Energy Agency) objectives of 15 percent of the light-duty transportation fuel mix being bioethanol, you could estimate saving another 150 million tons of CO2 equivalents ‘and’ building another 500 biofuel plants around the world. We’re committed to helping that come to pass.”
