Boca Raton, Fla. — A keynote address by Dana Perino, former White House press secretary and current Fox News commentator, and panel discussions on market expansion in the U.S. and abroad were highlights from the final day of Growth Energy’s 2018 Executive Leadership Conference (ELC).
Perino shared insights during an entertaining look at politics that included stories from when she served as White House press secretary as well as from today’s environment.
Her address was followed by a panel discussion on challenges and opportunities in global markets, titled “Other Side of the Road: Global Markets,” with Jim Miller, president of Agriculture and Biofuel Policy Consulting (ABPC); Max Thomasson, director of international trading for CHS Renewable Fuels; and Mark Marquis, CEO of Marquis Energy.
The discussion on market expansion continued with the “Partnering to Expand E15: A Look Beyond the Grants,” panel on how Growth Energy’s partnerships with retailers have led to the expansion of E15 availability and rapid consumer adoption.
Speakers on this panel included Jeff Gallic, senior vice president for fuel supply and transportation for Thorntons; Lance Klatt, executive director of Minnesota Service Station Association (MNSSA); Mike Lorenz, executive vice president of petroleum supply for Sheetz; and Mike O’Brien, vice president of market development for Growth Energy.
