WASHINGTON, DC — Following the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announcement of the 2013 Renewable Volume Obligations for the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) and the proposed Renewable Identification Number (RIN) rule, to address a problem related to fraudulent biodiesel RINS, Tom Buis CEO of Growth Energy released the following statement:
“We are pleased to see that EPA is moving forward with a voluntary program to address the concerns raised about the integrity of RINS in the RFS program.
“We look forward to reviewing the proposal and will work with EPA to ensure that the program is successful.”
