Growth Energy Continues to Build Communications Team

Expansion of Communications Team Bolsters Strategic Efforts to Increase Awareness of the Benefits of Ethanol

WASHINGTON, DC — This week, Growth Energy announced the expansion of its communications department at its Washington headquarters with the appointment of Tara Chandra as a new public affairs associate.

With her demonstrated background in strategic and crisis communications, as well as social media, Chandra brings unique insight to Growth Energy’s outreach and strategy efforts.  She will be responsible for implementing new messaging and social media capabilities.   Chandra joins recent new hires Michael Frohlich and Michael Lewan to enhance Growth Energy’s ability to better communicate and engage with a variety of audiences.

“The expansion of the communications teams will augment Growth Energy’s strategic engagement with the general public to continue advocating for the benefits of ethanol,” said CEO Tom Buis.  “The new communications team brings together a diverse set of skillsets and experience that will be positively leveraged to implement the organization’s overall vision.”

Prior to joining Growth Energy, Chandra served as an Analyst with The Rendon Group, where she gained expertise on traditional and social media analysis, as well as strategic and crisis communications consulting.  She previously worked at the US Department of Defense, and earned both her Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from The George Washington University.
