Value of Biofuels

Savings at the pump

Across the U.S., higher biofuel-blended fuels like E15 (15% ethanol) and E85 (up to 85% ethanol) are saving consumers money.

A simple nationwide move to make E15 the standard fuel sold across the U.S. would save American families $20.6 billion per year in fuel costs.

See the savings for yourself.

Your fuel
choice matters

Every time you fuel up at the pump, the dispenser you reach for matters.

Ethanol makes the gasoline we use cleaner, healthier and more affordable. In fact, ethanol is already transforming how we fuel our country. Right now, 98 percent of gasoline sold in the U.S. has at least 10 percent ethanol (E10). At over 3,000 stations across the country, there is an even better choice – gasoline blended with 15 percent ethanol, or E15.

E15 is approved for all passenger cars, light duty trucks, and medium-duty passenger vehicles made since 2001 – or nearly 9 out of 10 cars on the road today. Currently, there are retail locations in 31 states that sell higher blends of ethanol, and this number is on the rise. Greater awareness of the benefits of ethanol is driving demand, and each choice to fill up with E15 represents progress.
